In 1998 Maestro was cast in the role of Lulu in Frank Wedekind's Pandora's Box, San Martin Theater in her hometown of Buenos Aires. She was honored with the "Ace" Award for the Best New Artist.

She is most famous as an editor for British newspapers, nominal author of diet and educational books, and as the host of the Pride of Britain awards.    Her career began in 1982, when she was a participant on Channel 4's game show Countdown. From 1982 until Richard Whiteley's passing in 2005, she appeared on the show with Des Lynam (and Des O'Connor) until she quit in the year. She has also written the books about detox diets.    Vorderman was an ITV presenter on Loose Women between 2011 and 2014.
